Stone Brewing Liberty Station will transform into a whimsical, grown-up carnival as the Junior League of San Diego (JLSD) hosts its annual winter fundraising event, “Winter Wins: Carnival & Live Auction.”

The afternoon event will feature craft brews, gourmet bites, a live auction, and nostalgic carnival games all in support of JLSD’s mission to combat food insecurity across San Diego County.

Beginning at 12pm, attendees 21 and older are invited to enjoy a grown-up carnival experience featuring aura photography, a tarot card reader, a build-your-own flower bar and classic carnival-style games. At 3pm, the live auction begins, offering guests the opportunity to bid on exclusive items and experiences while supporting JLSD’s community impact efforts.

“For three years, our winter fundraiser has been an incredible way to gather at the start of the new year, raise funds and connect with others who care deeply about giving back,” said Megan Bores, Junior League of San Diego’s Winter Event Committee Chair. “Winter Wins is about coming together, having fun for a cause and building community, whether you’re looking to meet new friends, get involved or make giving back part of your New Year’s goals.”

For over 90 years, the JLSD has been an organization of women dedicated to advancing women’s leadership and creating meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration and training. Its mission is exclusively educational and charitable, reaching out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. For its current focus, JLSD has chosen food insecurity, a pressing issue affecting many in the San Diego community. With 1 in 4 San Diegans facing nutrition insecurity, as reported by the San Diego Hunger Coalition, JLSD is committed to addressing this challenge through advocacy, partnerships, and direct service programs.

Guests are encouraged to wear festive winter attire with a focus on blues and whites. As the event will be held outdoors, attendees are encouraged to dress accordingly.
