For the Love of Self

For the Love of Self marks the first solo exhibition by multidisciplinary, cross-border artist David Mont Virgen, presented in partnership with The Guild Hotel, JFiN Collective, and the Consulate General of Mexico.

The exhibition explores identity, desire, and selfhood shaped by movement across geographic, cultural, and emotional boundaries. Drawing from Minimalism and Finish Fetish, Mont Virgen works with polished steel, black-on-black canvases, mirrored and distorted surfaces, and intimate photography to create an immersive dialogue between the viewer and the work — seeing and being seen.
