Beyond the End of the World

Danish art collective Superflex presents work that emphasize interspecies living — a category of Superflex’s project development that solicits the participation of other species, considering the perspectives of plants and animals.

The exhibition includes the two-channel film installation, Beyond the End of the World (2021), which offers a mysterious glimpse of a post-Anthropocene future. A site-specific ceramic installation produced in collaboration with the ICA ceramics lab draws on imagery from the film. Beyond the End of the World is also the first exhibition at ICA San Diego / North to span the entire Encinitas campus.
