6th Annual “Saving Lives, One Swing at a Time” Golf Tournament

Shelter to Soldier’s annual event, sponsored in part by Sycuan Casino Resort, supports the nonprofit’s mission of adopting dogs from local shelters and training them as service dogs for post-9/11 veterans experiencing post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma, or other injuries related to their service.
Attendees will enjoy an afternoon of golf on the beautiful Willow Glen Golf Course, complete with games, competitions, and prizes for all skill levels. Proceeds directly support the shelter dogs and veterans served by the Shelter to Soldier programs. On average, 17 U.S. veterans and one active-duty service member are lost to suicide every day and 1,800 dogs a day are lost to euthanasia. Shelter to Soldier, whose tagline is “Saving Lives, Two at a Time,” is dedicated to reducing these statistics in every way they can by bringing trained rescue dogs together with wounded veterans to help both recover and move forward through their psychiatric service dog training program.
