Restaurateur/chef Matt Gordon has teamed up with San Diego catering expert and longtime colleague, Lisa Richards of Salus Event Group, to create Urban Solace Catering. Chef Gordon owns Urban Solace in North Park and Solace and the Moonlight Lounge in Encinitas. With 33 years as a leading caterer in the industry, Richards is the current owner of Picnic People and the former owner of Festivities Catering and Special Events, where Chef Gordon worked as executive chef years ago. “We have talked for a long time about partnering in catering, and the stars finally aligned!” says Gordon. “We are excited to pursue this new facet of Urban Solace together.” The duo’s new boutique-style catering company is focused on delivering exquisite modern American comfort food and exceptional service.
