The Salk Institute presents the inaugural Salk Women & Science Design and Discovery Fashion Showcase from 5:30-8pm at the Institute. The event will provide a platform to communicate basic scientific research in the form of fashion design through a collaboration between Salk researchers and aspiring designers from San Diego Mesa College’s design program. Tickets are $150 and all proceeds will benefit the Salk Women & Science Special Awards Initiative, which provides awards to female scientists conducting high-risk research projects. 858.500.4883, salk.edu/support/womenandscience.html
