Fresh Start Surgical Gifts presents its 26th anniversary “Summer of Love” Butterfly Ball at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. Former NBA Champion Bill Walton and his wife, Lori, have been involved with Fresh Start for more than five years and will serve as the event’s honorary chairs. The benefit will commemorate Fresh Start’s commitment to providing surgical gifts and transforming the lives of infants, children, and teens with physical deformities caused by birth defects, accidents, abuse, or disease. The event will feature a cocktail reception, live and silent auctions, dinner, live music, and dancing, and will also mark the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Summer of Love. 760.448.2019, freshstart.org
