Art Lounge on 101

Founded by Cindy Blumkin and Nancy Walter, the newly opened Art Lounge on 101 is a community-based, intimate, art studio located in the heart of downtown coastal Encinitas. Dedicated to offering a wide variety of creative experiences in a fun and casual environment, classes and workshops offer something for all — from art journaling and drawing to jewelry making, painting, photography, and the list goes on. Check the “Classes” section of the Web site for weekly postings geared towards both newcomers as well as advanced students. And be sure to attend the May 7 grand opening celebration, titled “Journey to Morocco,” inspired by Walter’s recent six-week art residency there.
