Finish Chelsea’s Run

On Saturday, March 1, the 4th annual Finish Chelsea’s Run 5K in Partnership with Girl Scouts San Diego will take place in Balboa Park in honor of Chelsea King. The event will feature a competitive 5K race and fun run/walk, family festival, children’s activities, team competition, entertainment, and refreshments. This annual run/walk is now the primary fundraiser for the Chelsea’s Light Foundation Sunflower Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for San Diego County college-bound teens who have embraced characteristics that embodied King’s academic prowess and service-over-self ethic. Last year’s run/walk enabled the foundation to provide over $70,000 in Sunflower Scholarships to ten amazing students and helps the organization continue its efforts to expand Chelsea’s Law. www.chelseaslight.org
