San Diego Cares: It’s in our Blood

Philanthropy is at the heart of everything the team does at the San Diego Blood Bank. From the most precious gift of life — a blood donation — to funding critical supplies in support of cell therapy and regenerative medicine, blood and financial donors are saving lives today and improving lives tomorrow. During the end-of-year holiday season, blood supply traditionally drops to critical levels throughout the country due to high school and college closures and holiday vacations. Winter storms on the East Coast and flu season have an additional impact. To ensure we meet the critical need for blood, through January 15, San Diego Blood Bank is asking San Diegans to partner with them as we celebrate the season of giving life. Your generosity ensures a safe and consistent blood supply for our community during the holiday season. To donate blood, visit www.sandiegobloodbank.org/donate.
