San Diego Bay Parade of Lights

December 9 & 16, 2018 | San Diego Bay

The 47th annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights promises to dazzle and entertain bayfront crowds. Participants in the holiday boat parade will decorate their craft to fit this year’s theme, “A Tropical Island Christmas.” The procession of approximately 80 lavishly decorated boats has become one of the most iconic events in the region. Beginning at 5pm both nights, the parade starts at Shelter Island and proceeds to Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, and the Pier at Cesar Chavez Park, ending at the Ferry Landing in Coronado. Spectators can watch the parade from near the announcers’ areas, located at the Maritime Museum and at Coronado Landing. As each boat passes, the announcers will offer a brief history and description of the participating vessels. sdparadeoflights.org
