Jewel Ball 2018

Las Patronas’ 72nd Annual Jewel Ball, Viva la Vida, took place at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club and transported guests to the haciendas and centros of Mexico City. Named in honor of Frida Kahlo’s final painting, the ball celebrated all forms of Mexican art, from the beauty created in the hands of artisans to the spectacular canvasses and murals created by Kahlo and her husband, Diego Rivera. Jennifer Edstrom served as gala chair; Kelly Kent and Nicole Velazquez were co-chairs. Since its inception in 1946, Las Patronas has donated more than $20 million to more than 1,000 charitable institutions in San Diego.
