Rolling in for the first-time ever dockside next to the Queen Mary ocean liner, the largest traveling observation wheel in the Western Hemisphere is now open for daily rides in Long Beach. Through Sunday June 17, guests can sip on beverages, enjoy the company of up to eight people per climate-controlled cabin, and take in the birds-eye view of the picturesque harbor, skyline, and historic ship. Rides start at 11am, or come after dark to enjoy the vista as the ride dazzles with more than 500,000 LED lights. The family-friendly attraction towers over the harbor at 164 feet tall. Designed and built in the Netherlands, it took 22 trailers/containers to get the La Grande XL to the United States. Tickets range from $10 to $15. longbeachwheel.com
