The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank’s 2014 fundraiser, The Viejas Foodtasia: Burlap and Silver Gala, will take place at the Food Bank’s warehouse facility located in Miramar on Saturday, May 3. The Food Bank’s 72,000-square-foot warehouse will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind venue for an evening of rustic elegance, including exquisite foods prepared by San Diego’s finest chefs, live and silent auctions, and live entertainment. The warehouse setting will enable the Food Bank to showcase its operations to guests, giving them a behind the scenes look at how they provide food for the underprivileged. Chefs on hand will include Chad Kilgore of Pfizer, Oz Blackaller of Cueva Bar, Accursio Lota of Solare Ristorante, Colin Murray of Brooklyn Girl, Brian Bonney of Oceanaire Seafood Room, Joe Ruiz of Herringbone La Jolla, Joe Busalacchi of Busalacchi Group, and pastry chef Adrian Mendoza of Herringbone La Jolla.
