Flower Drum Song

Rancho Santa Fe seventh grader Jane Mezzino is the youngest performer in Flower Drum Song: A Musical Revival in Concert, playing now through June 12 at the La Jolla Playhouse Theodore and Adele Shank Theatre. Mezzino is an honor student at R. Roger Rowe Middle School, where she is active in the performing arts. The revival, produced by the San Diego Asian American Repertory Theatre (SDAART), also features the group’s president Elise Kim Prosser, PhD, a playwright, acting teacher, and hip-hop dancer as well as a marketing professor, researcher, and author. SDAART’s mission is to celebrate the Asian American experience through theatrical productions, present fresh perspectives on traditional works, and support Asian American artists.
