The 33rd annual Rendezvous In The Zoo (RITZ) gala was themed “It Began With a Roar” in honor of the San Diego Zoo’s Centennial. Charied by Sandy Brue and Patti Roscoe, the evening began with lavish hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and music near the flamingo lagoon. Exotic animals and their trainers mingled with partygoers, who were also treated to a special animal presentation by conservation ambassador Joan Embery. In the dinning area, guests were immersed in a celebration of special animals that have been an important part of the Zoo’s 100-year history. Revelers danced the night away to the music of Wayne Foster Entertainment.
