Eric Weddle, the burly, bearded Chargers safety, seems like an unlikely person to “sport” his own jewelry line. But last year, after fallout from the NFL’s domestic violence scandal, he teamed up with Patrick Pickford and Gerly Noland to tackle the problem. Since then, the jewelry line and donations have raised thousands to fund services for victims and their families, in partnership with Alliance for Hope. The Chargers line includes sterling silver and gold-filled bangles, necklaces and earrings embellished with blue crystals, lighting bolts and even tiny pom-poms.
