19th Annual CAPS Charity Golf Tournament
CAPS Pregnancy+ Medical Clinics will host its highly-anticipated 19th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to support its mission of transforming lives and supporting San Diego families.
Featuring an 18 hole golf scramble, this glorious day on the links will start with check-in and registration beginning at 10:30am, followed by the opening ceremony and boxed lunch at 11:45am. Tee time for the start of the golf action will be 12 noon. After tournament play, guests will enjoy a scrumptious buffet dinner beginning at 5pm, complete with a fun raffle and golf tournament awards.
CAPS Pregnancy+ Medical Clinics currently operates five licensed medical clinics located in downtown San Diego, La Jolla near UC San Diego, Kearny Mesa, Pacific Beach, and near the campus of San Diego State University. CAPS serves the San Diego community by giving patients options when experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. The organization strives to educate its patients on the variables for each option, so they can each make the best choice for their given situation. CAPS also offers low-or-no-cost STI/STD testing and treatment.
“We are excited to be holding our CAPS Charity Golf Tournament at the exclusive Maderas Golf Club once again,” says Julie Dowler, Executive Director of CAPS Pregnancy+ Medical Clinics. “We expect to have a full tournament this year, as we celebrate CAPS 25th Anniversary. This annual tournament helps to ensure CAPS services to over 1,500 women and couples annually at our five locations in San Diego. I am so grateful to all who have already stepped up to sponsor this year’s golf event.”
“Often, our patients are not well equipped to parent a child when finding out they are pregnant,” says Dowler. “And, because we know how important this is, we have been building practical social services in the last couple of years at CAPS. This is headed by our staff social worker to help them navigate the challenges they are facing before and after the babies are born. We have exceptional in person parenting classes and online life-skills courses. These classes are incentivized to give parents-to-be that extra encouragement to follow through with this important service. We are also able to help and support anyone who is interested in adopting out to a loving family. This is the heart of what CAPS stands for. We help families not just survive but thrive, built upon a strong foundation.”

Sponsorships are immediately available starting at $500 for a hole sponsor up to $15,000 for a platinum sponsor. Individual golfers can participate for $275 per person, and golf foursomes, with carts provided, can participate for $1,000 per foursome.
