Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

YWCA of San Diego County invites men, women, and children to don high heels and join the tenth annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes to increase awareness of domestic violence and raise funds for survivors and children overcoming domestic violence situations through YWCA programs. Beginning at 10am at MLK Promenade Park, participants and teams will literally walk a mile through the streets of downtown San Diego, followed by a festival featuring entertainment, food, partner booths, and family-friendly activities. Proceeds benefit YWCA of San Diego County and its Becky’s House domestic violence programs, which encompass a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, legal assistance, and integrated supportive services. ywcasandiego.org
