Spring’s latest styles are hitting the runway with Latin flair when film, food, and fashion collide at Fashion Valley’s second annual Celebration of Fashion on Friday, March 18, as part of the San Diego Latino Film Festival festivities. Fashion Valley will host a runway show in Center Court at 7pm, giving guests a sneak peek at everything from fun casual wear to glamorous red-carpet looks, with Paola Hernández-Jiao and Abelardo Rodriguez serving as emcees. Retailers taking the stage at the show this year include Johnny Was, Halston Heritage, Ted Baker London, Joe’s Jeans, Uno de 50, and more.
“We love to spice things up at Fashion Valley, and our runway show in support of the San Diego Latino Film Festival will be no exception,” says Chris Lane, director of marketing and business development at Fashion Valley.
Free and open to the public, the fashion event of the season is being held in celebration of the 23nd annual San Diego Latino Film Festival, taking place March 10-20 at AMC Fashion Valley 18, and presented by Fashion Valley,
A ticketed event, the internationally recognized festival returns with new films from Latin America, Spain, U.S.A, Mexico and other parts of the world in celebration of Latino film, art, and culture. In 2016, the festival will screen more than 160 films, as well as host parties, concerts, a parade, celebrity guests, and more.
In addition, on Saturday, March 19, guests can experience Sabor Latino, a beer and food festival starting at 1pm and running until 5pm. Sabor Latino pairs cuisine with drinks from the finest brewery and wineries in San Diego and Baja California Mexico, including Cerveseria Tijuana, Aztec Brewery, Psycho Brewery, and Border X. The fresh brew will be served with top-notch cuisine from local restaurants.
Also at Fashion Valley, guests can enjoy daily concerts at the Sonido Latino stage in Macy’s Court, as well as in Café Terrace, featuring local and international bands and artists, For more information on all the in-store events, exclusive offers and parties taking place at the center, click here.
