Orchestra Nova Day At The Races

Orchestra Nova San Diego will celebrate A Day at the Races on Wednesday, September 1, at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, and the public is invited to join in the fun. Proceeds from the event will support Orchestra Nova in its quest to enrich the San Diego community with unforgettable music experiences through compelling music programming, comprehensive music education programs, and artistry of the highest caliber under the leadership of Jung-Ho Pak. The afternoon will begin at 12:30pm at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in the Star Fiddle Skyroom. Located on the sixth floor with a beautiful panoramic view overlooking the track, guests will enjoy a delicious luncheon, musical entertainment from members of the orchestra, mingling with friends, and betting on their favorite horses. Races begin at 2pm. Silent auction items will be offered and there will be a no-host bar. Chairs of the event are members of the orchestra’s board of directors — Susan Christopher, Kathleen Davis, and Elsie Weston. Tickets are $125 and $75.
