La Jolla Historical Society Lecture

The La Jolla Historical Society began its 70-year retrospective of World War II in December 2011 with an exhibit in Wisteria Cottage entitled “Home Front La Jolla,” which ran from December 7, 2011 to May 27, 2012. Concurrently, the historical society produced a lecture series related to World War II topics. Its November 14 presentation, “What We Are Fighting For” — a living history drama about Eleanor Roosevelt during the war — will round out its focus for the year. At 7:30pm, attend Susan Marie Frontczak’s reenactment presentation taking place at St. James-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in the Van Schaick room. Members are $20; non-members are $25; students are $10. (www.lajollahistory.org)
