Conservation In Bloom
From 9am-12pm on April 24, the Water Conservation Garden will demonstrate that conserving water doesn’t have to mean sacrificing natural beauty. At the Seventh Annual Paint-Out at the Garden, artists of all abilities are invited to capture the scenery of the Water Conservation Garden with the help of accomplished local artist Chuck McPherson as part of the Spring Garden Festival. Attendees will learn to convey the aesthetic details of California-friendly plants. This activity is free of charge and participants should bring their own materials. The festival also features a plant sale, dance performances, and more. (619/660-0614, www.thegarden.org) JANE SHIOMI
