A Fundamental Change

September 19-29, North County-based composer and playwright Eve Resnik Beutler, MS, will share her dream with the public at the Lyceum Theater. Though well-known as the founder of Cancer Angels of San Diego, Beutler’s greatest passion is composing music that creates positive change through entertainment.  A Fundamental Change explores the common bond between us all, spanning cultural and personal differences, as well as our innate desire to be free. Musical numbers range from Gospel to classical opera duets to Middle Eastern instrumentations; dance includes everything from hip-hop to ballet. Directed by UC San Diego alumnus Michael Schwartz, and featuring dancer Karen Li, the production’s based-on-truth plot will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Tickets range from $30-$52 (students save $5). Thursday, September 19, active military, veterans, cancer patients, and disadvantaged youth are invited, free of charge, to see this moving piece.
