The Beach & Country Guild celebrated its 50th Annual Dia del Sol luncheon benefiting United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The day began with complimentary champagne, a donation drawing, and a hearty silent auction before guests entered the ballroom, where they enjoyed a gourmet luncheon, children’s runway show featuring kids and young adults of all abilities, live auction, and an appearance by special guest speaker Rolf Benirschke. 10News anchor Kimberly Hunt served as mistress of ceremonies. The event concluded with a spectacular men’s and women’s fashion show presented by Fashion Valley with live accompaniment by saxophonist Jason Whitmore.
