San Francisco-based rock band Train will perform at an exclusive concert to benefit Walden Family Services’ programs for foster youth and children. With hits like the Grammy-award-winning “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me),” “Hey Soul Sister,” “Marry Me,” and “Meet Virginia,” the band is beloved not only for a consistent stream of hits but for their consummate showmanship and audience-thrilling performance. “We’re really excited to have Train perform for us,” says Walden CEO Teresa Stivers. “When I think about the song ‘Calling All Angels,’ it speaks to what our kids in foster care are going through and how we need people to be their angels: ‘When there is no place safe and no safe place to put my head/When you feel the world shake from the words that are said/I need a sign to let me know you’re here.’” Thanks to music lovers Harley and Maryanne Sefton, who generously underwrite the entertainment and production costs of the yearly event, past Wine D’Vine headliners have included The Moody Blues, John Fogerty, and Peter Frampton. Sponsorship opportunities with tickets are available. 619.727.5897, kstephens@waldenfamily.org, waldenfamily.org/wine-dvine-2019
