Rancho Santa Fe’s own Clay and Elizabeth Macleod celebrate the 17th year of hosting the Largest Quarter Horse Show on the West Coast
Clay Macleod is the well-respected and accomplished horseman, seasoned champion, acclaimed horse show judge, successful trainer, and coach who founded the Sun and Surf Circuit. Clay and his wife, Elizabeth, continue to manage it with pride as they have watched it grow since 1999.
A-list exhibitors, the most competitive riders in the sport, come from all over the U.S. to compete in a wide spectrum of Western classes. Competitors return year after year, many of them weaving the show into a fabulous Del Mar beach vacation.
There are divisions for youth and amateur riders as well, with competitors ranging from the bright-eyed 11-&-Under, to the National Champions.
