On Saturday, November 7, from 8am-5pm, the world’s top female skateboarders will come together at the new Encinitas Community Park for Exposure: A Women’s Benefit Event, dedicated to empowering women and girls through skateboarding. The event will showcase professional and amateur female skateboarding competitions with street disciplines alongside vert and bowl. The Tony Hawk Industries’ 14-foot halfpipe will host the Vert Competition as XS Helmets and Active Ride shop present the Bowl Competition. Attendees can participate in free Sambazon yoga clinics and learn-to-skate clinics presented by Camp Tanuga. Exposure also features a vendor village, autograph signings, and opportunity drawings. Event proceeds will support Carol’s House, a local shelter for survivors of domestic violence that provides residents with comprehensive social services to facilitate transition to healthier, happier, and safer lives.
