Casino Royale: Betting on the Mission

The San Diego Rescue Mission will hold a special fundraising event, Casino Royale: Betting on the Mission, on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the San Diego Yacht Club. This exciting event will include casino-style gaming (with play money), dinner, music and a silent auction. In August 1955, the San Diego Rescue Mission served its first meal out of a card shop “poker hall” in what is now the East Village.  With respect to their humble beginnings, San Diego Rescue Mission is embracing its past by celebrating this moment with a Casino Royale-themed event. Tickets are $100 and proceeds will help raise funds toward the San Diego Rescue Mission’s Children’s First Initiative, funding the expansion of the Children’s Center, opening of Transitional Housing for women with children and the renovation of the Mission’s Emergency Shelter for Women and Children.
