A Carlsbad couple has a way with words. Their Printed Palette boutique, recently opened in the Row Collective at Del Mar’s Flower Hill Promenade, is a creative collection of clothing and décor imprinted with catchy, quirky phrases. “It’s Awesome Time,” “Go Ahead, Swoon,” and “Beachy Keen” are printed on tees for babies on up. “Shave the Whale,” a men’s T-shirt sporting a mustachioed whale, is geared for guys. The shop also carries women’s dresses and shorts, whimsical prints, and wooden signs. Founded by Alissa Samperio and Kurt Hummel, the boutique grew out of their custom screen printing company in Carlsbad.
