Just opened at Westfield UTC is the Bonobos Guideshop, an e-commerce store offering personalized service for guys who want to get to know the brand before they buy. Drop in or schedule a one-hour appointment, where you can drink a Stone IPA while “guides” (rather than salespeople) ask about your lifestyle, needs, and upcoming special events, show you the options, and help you find the right fit. The company then ships orders free to your home or office. “It’s very much a one-on-one guided experience focused on fit,” says Ron Thurston, director of retail. Launched by Stanford business school grad Andy Dunn in 2007, Bonobos became the largest Web-built apparel brand in the U.S., known for its well-fitting pants, the solution to the dreaded “khaki diaper butt.” (The secret, they say, is a curved waistband). Four years ago, Bonobos launched Guideshops, and the line is now available in select Nordstrom stores and on Nordstrom.com. (858.226.1373, www.bonobos.com/guideshop) ANDREA NAVERSEN
