“Many of the latest trends center around unconventional options for storage,” explains Stratton. “Rather than a wall full of upper cabinets, we might design for windows above counter tops to maximize views. We’re seeing dramatic advancements in lighting — using high efficacy light sources like LED.  It’s now very easy for us to put light anywhere we might want it.”
