Relay for Life

On August 17-18, at the North Embarcadero in Downtown San Diego, the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life will bring together supporters for a 24-hour fundraiser to fight back against cancer. The American Cancer Society is currently working on one of its biggest research projects ever — the groundbreaking Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3), and our downtown relay was chosen as the only one in all of San Diego to host enrollment for this crucial effort. As the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, this year’s relay committee aims to secure 100 teams and raise $300,000. (www.relayforlife.org)
