Intentional Happiness: Latest Research & Practical Tools for Increasing Happiness

Published

It’s possible to increase your personal happiness. And here’s the good news — you don’t need to quit your job or run away from home to do it. The Howell Foundation presents a lively and informative series that will focus on research that is shedding new light on why individual happiness levels vary and what a person can do to increase his/her happiness level.

One researcher estimates that our level of happiness is 50 percent genetically set, 10 percent life circumstances, and 40 percent personal habits and intentional activities. This two-part series focuses on the 40 percent we can control. You will leave with practical, easy-to-use tools that can be utilized to immediately to benefit you, your children, your marriage, and your friendships. Attendees will be sitting at round tables, and there will be lots of discussion.

Sessions take place on September 25 and November 13, from 6-7:30pm. Open bar and hors d’oeuvres start at 5pmat Liberty Station, McMillin Conference Center. Admission is $60 for both sessions; $35 to attend a single session.

Session One:  Increasing Your Personal Happiness:  The first session in the two-part series will focus on current research and tools that you will be able to use to increase your personal level of happiness.

Session Two:  Increasing Your Family’s Happiness:
The second session will focus on current research and tools for increasing happiness in your marriage, helping your children develop habits that maximize their happiness, and improving the quality of your friendships.
