Providing Humanitarian Aid

A new documentary from acclaimed filmmaker Stephen Low, Rescue was given a heavy dose of reality when, in January 2010 as the crew followed the training of the early responder groups depicted in the film, the horrendous Haiti earthquake hit. Marshaling the support of the military and appropriate organizations, the crew dropped into devastated Port-au-Prince to follow a female Boeing C-17 Globemaster III pilot and a FEMA-certified volunteer emergency response manager, among others. Low hopes that by seeing Rescue, viewers will be encouraged to find an outlet for increased volunteerism, regardless of avenue. Rescue opens at Reuben H.
