Haute Yoga On The Rise

Published

Building upon the success of its Solana Beach location, Haute Yoga is preparing for the opening of a second offering in The Forum at Carlsbad. “Our new location will have a very similar design,” explains Haute Yoga’s Dino Flacco. “Practice studios, locker rooms, and boutique and community areas were all designed using sustainable or recycled materials and furnishings — and all are 100 percent VOC-free.”

Men’s and women’s locker rooms boast multiple showers, ample space for changing, and vanity areas with blow dryers and toiletries. Flacco continues, “We use the best heating and humidification systems available, in addition to precisely monitoring the environment in the practice rooms. Dry air is humidified with jets of steam purifying and moisturizing yoga rooms. Large exhaust fans controlled by CO2 and humidity sensors bring in fresh air when levels are too high.”

Opening this February, the new 4,500-square-foot location will offer three practice rooms. Classes will include: Hot Yoga, Anusara, Slow Flow, Yoga for Athletes, Vinyasa, and Yoga 101. In addition, “Yoga Barre” will integrate a ballet barre with classic yoga and ballet exercises, and “Hot Power Sculpt” will utilize light hand weights for upper body toning. Memberships will be honored in both studios, and schedules will be staggered to offer the most classes available at any given time. (858/345-1810, www.hauteyoga.com)   MIA STEFANKO
