Fashion Group International of San Diego’s 11th Style Awards Gala recognized six individuals for their outstanding achievement and leadership in the local fashion world, and for the commitment each has demonstrated to the community through leadership and philanthropy. In front of a crowd of 3,000 supporters, Le Dimora’s Maria Barry was honored with the Interior Design Style Award. “It’s so flattering that others recognize and are impressed by my work,” notes Barry. “I feel very honored.” Other award recipients included Sue Wong (fashion), Susan Lazear (education), Burl Stiff (media), Virginia Napierskie (community outreach), and Gordana Gehlhausen (rising star).
