Cook To Combat Cancer

Published

Learn about the connection between diet and cancer at a free workshop and cooking demonstration at Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine on Tuesday, January 26, from 6:30-8pm, presented by Scripps Cancer Center and Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine. People who have cancer, and those who want to prevent it, require a nutrient rich diet that supports healing. Attendees will learn about specific foods that can help reduce inflammation, a risk factor for cancer. The workshop will be led by Cathy Garvey, a registered dietitian with Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine. Chef Palma Bellinghieri will demonstrate two delicious and easy-to-make recipes using anti-inflammatory ingredients. Registration is required.
