Supporting The Arts

Orchestra Nova San Diego (formerly San Diego Chamber Orchestra) has been selected by The James Irvine Foundation as one of 11 local arts organizations to receive a grant as part of the foundation’s 2009 Arts Regional Initiative to encourage leading arts organizations that provide publicly accessible programming, and support emerging artists and community development. Under artistic director and conductor Jung-Ho Pak, Orchestra Nova performs at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Sherwood Auditorium, and Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall. Other local arts organizations set to receive grants include Mainly Mozart, Cygnet Theatre Company, and Oceanside Museum of Art.   JANE SHIOMI
