On Friday, November 12, the International Bipolar Foundation and BringChange2Mind present a special evening at The Grand Del Mar with Glenn Close and her sister Jessie Close. Glenn is the co-founder of BringChange2Mind, a national anti-stigma campaign. In addition to hearing firsthand from Glenn about how we can all help to dispel misconceptions about mental illness, the event will also include a VIP reception, delectable dinner prepared by renowned chef William Bradley, and dazzling entertainment. The event aims to enhance care and support services for all affected, erase associated stigma through public education, and work towards eliminating bipolar disorder through the advancement of research.
This video illustrates that individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder can lead productive and fulfilling lives. Like any medical condition, with proper treatment and lifestyle management our loved ones can accomplish extraordinary things. (858/342-0327, www.internationalbipolarfoundation.org)
