Follow nine-time World Champion surfer Kelly Slater and Tahitian surfer Raimana Van Bastolaer as they explore the nature of waves and hunt for the ultimate wave-riding experience at the famed Pacific surf site of Teahupo'o. Kelly and Raimana share a passion for the waves, but have different ideas about what surfing means to them: is it a modern competitive sport or an ancient Polynesian art? The film also showcases astounding natural athleticism from the duo of surf prodigies, and the science behind incredible ocean breakers that provide some of the greatest waves for surfing. Generated by storm cells intruding upon the shallow reef, discover the speed, structure, volume, and mass behind the creation of one of nature’s most powerful forces as millions of pounds of Pacific rumble past.
