Bravo to La Jolla Playhouse (LJP) — its production of Memphis, which highlighted LJP’s 2008/09 season before moving on to Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre and then Broadway, was recognized with four Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Original Score, (David Bryan), Best Book of a Musical (Joe DiPietro), and Best Orchestrations (Daryl Waters and David Bryan).
