With clothing sales declining around the country, Station Boutique owner Kristi Steffen knew she had to come up with a new approach for her individualistic clothing store. Utilizing her extensive knowledge of interior design, she transformed her Little Italy boutique into Station Co-Op, a unique and expanded vision that brings together fashion, art, and home décor. “It’s refreshing to have new ideas, products, and business practices come your way, and at the end of the day, I am still so thrilled to be part of the design concept in the community of Little Italy,” says Steffen. Along with stylish clothes, Station Co-Op carries an eclectic collection of contemporary home lighting, furniture, and accessories (including items from Domicilio, formerly in Del Mar), as well as distinctive art pieces. Steffen also offers her services as a LEED-certified interior designer. Mix it all together and the result is a unique and fun one-stop shop for fashionistas, artists, and designers that provides a personal touch. (619/544-1100)   RINA VAN ORDEN
