Café Sevilla has a stunning new home. Still in the Gaslamp, it’s now located at 353 Fifth Avenue, where the results of eight months and $2.7 million worth of construction beckon guests. Now considerably enlarged and spread over three floors, this popular gathering spot is an up-to-date, state-of-the-art facility. It still features the three hallmark environments associated with it — a lively tapas bar, a romantic restaurant, and an intimate nightclub where the Flamenco Dinner Show is performed and patrons dance the nights away. Enthusiasm for Spanish and Latin cuisine, ambiance, and entertainment has fueled the growth of Café Sevilla, which has come a long way since it opened in 1987. The original dance club began in an unfinished cellar, which had a single light bulb. From that spirit rose a flamenco show and club, all of which evolved into this more elegant, vibrant, and spacious center. Ole! (619/233-5979)   DARLENE G. DAVIES
