For a wonderful blend of fresh island flavors, try this delicious recipe from the Kamuela Provision Company restaurant at Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island of Hawaii.

 

 

Ahi Tuna (Sashimi quality)                         16 oz

Maui Onion, diced                                      ¼ cup

Green Onion, chopped                               ¼ cup

Fresh Ogo Seaweed                                   ¼ cup

Alae Salt (Hawaiian sea salt)                      2 tsp

Red Chili Flake                                          ½ tsp

Kukui Nut                                                 2 tsp

Sesame Oil                                               2 tsp

Avocado, diced                                         ¾ cup

Taro Chips                                                

 

 

Instructions:

Dice ahi into cubes and mix with onion, green onion, seaweed, and kukui nut. Season with sea salt, chili flake, and sesame oil. Let stand for 5 minutes. Mix with diced avocado and serve with taro chips.
