Launching just in time for Earth Month is Ten Fingers 4 Paws, an online store for eco-friendly, organic, and natural living products targeted to babies and toddlers, dogs and cats. The company is the passion of an Encinitas couple who wanted to find the best natural products for their growing family — a toddler, a pooch, and a 17-year-old cat.
Ten Fingers 4 Paws has sourced dozens of items, carefully researched and “mom-approved,” including Diaper Dude, a messenger-style diaper bag for dad to My Breast Friend nursing pillows for mom. The site also offers Green to Grow baby bottles without those nasty chemicals and cloth diapers called Happy Hienys (pronounced hiney), along with Earth Dog hemp collars and The Honest Kitchen line of organic dog and cat food. You can also find cleaning products, educational books and CDs, and simple toys made out of wood — no plastics or dyes. Vice president of sales Kevin Devaney says the company won’t sell anything they haven’t tried themselves, “picking and choosing only the products we feel passionate about.” A portion of profits will benefit the Rancho Coastal Humane Society and Helen Woodward Animal Center.
