A new book by local author D. María Trimble takes readers on a captivating journey to the Kingdom of Teravinea. Amáne of Teravinea — The Chosen One (Volume 1) tells the story of 15-year-old Amáne, who finds herself witness to the hatching of a dragon egg. The painful linking rite creates a bond between the two that cannot be broken, and Amáne and her dragon, Eshshah, are thrown into a conflict that they do not yet understand. The fate of the kingdom rests upon their shoulders. Adventure, vivid sword fights, young budding love, triumph and loss — this book keeps readers young and old on the edge of their seats.
For the first time author, writing a trilogy was not something she’d always dreamt of. “Actually, it never occurred to me until about two-and-a-half years ago,” Trimble explains. “I just dove in thinking what a fun distraction it would be.” The vibrant wife, grandmother of three, and full-time graphic artist carved out time between 9pm-1am. “I’d sit at my computer any other chance I could get besides those hours,” she adds. Amáne of Teravinea — The Chosen One (Volume 1) is recommended for tweens and up, and is available on Amazon in paperback and for Kindle. Visit the author's Facebook page by clicking here.
