Chances are you’ve probably seen them cruising down PCH. Believe it or not, the world’s first elliptical bicycle was born right here in San Diego. ElliptiGO, a Solana Beach-based company, has developed an exercise experience similar to running outdoors, but without the damaging impact caused by “pounding the pavement.” The ElliptiGO is built to deliver performance comparable with any high-end road bike. It has recently attracted the attention of elite athletes, who have incorporated it into their training regimens as a way to achieve cardio in a low-impact manner, without being confined to the inside of a gym.
