Amongst the patchwork hills of the Chianti Classico region lies Borgo San Fedele, the exquisitely renovated and restored 13th century monastery. It has been recently reborn as the Tuscan Renaissance Center (TRC), a creative safe house for cultivating the arts, relationships, and new ideas.
An Italian toast, Tocato Uno, Tocato Tutti (you touch one, you touch all), perfectly embodies the mission of both TRC and Play2Create.com, a local Del Mar company founded by Savannah Sincoff and Ingrid Hoffmeister. At TRC the two women facilitate weeklong summer workshops for those wishing to live their own personal renaissance through a rich offering of cultural and artistic endeavors. Days are designed to access the potential for internal transformation and interpersonal connection through writing, painting, movement, drama, and photography. TRC’s fertile ground is filled with opportunities to embark on a more meaningful, value-driven life, where each person contributes to making our world a place of greater peace and harmony.
While every essential comfort exists in support of the transformational journey, including glorious Tuscan cuisine, Chianti wines, and visits to local cultural places of interest, TRC with Play2Create offers a rare time-out-of-time holding space where the possibility to explore both interior and exterior landscapes exists.
While Sincoff and Hoffmeister engage their participants in a rich variety of artistic experiences, they wholeheartedly believe that it only takes one to be the entry portal into the wonder and mystery of timeless creative space.
