A rock concert at the Marriott Del Mar benefitted the family of Darin Laird, a Torrey Pines grad diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). The crowd rocked to the music of the Mar Dels, Wag Halen, and The Motives, raising about $50,000 for a college fund for Laird’s three teenage sons.
